Rupert Kirkwood has clocked up nearly 20,000 paddling miles over the last 15 years and claims to be the only person to have kayaked every inch of the coast of SW England from Poole to Minehead (all 1156 miles of it). He frequently ventures a dozen miles offshore and has encountered whales, dolphins, porpoises, peregrines, puffins, seals, sunfish, sharks, otters, giant tuna and a swimming badger. Rupert is passionate about British wildlife and loves the simplicity and silence of kayaking in the wilderness of the open sea and his talk truly entertains with humorous anecdotes and astounding images of coastline and many remarkable marine creatures.
