Novel Nights is a monthly literary event with guest speakers and readings by local talent. We provide literary chat, stories, discussion and inspiration for writers and readers.

This month, Novel Nights welcomes Tyler Keevil, an award-winning author from Vancouver, who now lives in South Wales.  He writes novels, short stories, creative non-fiction, and screenplays, and is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Cardiff University.  In this talk and discussion, he will explore how music can influence the way we writers work: both as a source of inspiration and as a means to help maintain our creative focus, and keep a project on track.  Tyler’s most recent novel, No Good Brother (The Borough Press / HarperCollins, 2018) was inspired in part by the music of his brother Jonathan Keevil, a professional composer and filmmaker.
