Berkeley Square Poetry Revue

Bristol’s very own poetry revue invites the region’s wordsmiths to perform in our quirky cocktail bar. This month the amazing poets Tom Sastry, Emma Stadon, and Ian Griffith will be reading. With music from excellent musicians Elliot and Sarah Hall. Hosted by Charles Thompson.

Tom Sastry is Carol Ann Duffy’s Laureate’s Choice poet, reading from his new collection “Complicity”.

Swansea-born poet Ian Griffith will read from his first collection of poems ‘Conversations with birds’. He addresses the journey from birth to grave through love and loss and learning in which birds and nature are his regular companions and confidants. This is poetry which needs to be heard and he welcomes the chance to lift it from the page. Copies of the collection available to purchase on the night.

Emma Stadon reads poems which are fascinating takes on the topic of hoarding.

Elliot Hall & Sarah Larkham as popular, local, prize-winning singer-songwiter duo – always spellbinding.
