Bristol’s very own poetry revue invites the region’s wordsmiths to perform in our quirky cocktail bar. Featuring readings from local poets and storytellers, and live music.
Isadora Vibes aka Katie Grant is a poet, writer, theatre maker and artist. She has written, produced and performed in a number of successful solo and ensemble shows in Bristol, London and Edinburgh. Artistic Director of the award-winning avant-garde punk guerrilla theatre company Dada For Girls, Isadora is currently developing a new show based on the poems in her debut poetry collection ‘soak’ published by Burning Eye Books, September 2018. She lives in Bristol and has two teenage children.
We also have the excellent young poet Simon Murphy.
Bridget Hart is a DIY punk poet. Her work is biting, witty and surprising as she drags her audience through deftly constructed snippets of real and imagined lives. Navigating through ideas about feminism, mental health and being part of a far from perfect punk scene, Bridget’s words will get stuck in your teeth and you’ll be picking them out for days.
