About the Artist
A graduate of Drawing and Applied Arts at UWE and now based in Stroud, Luke Agnew uses humour, repetition, and vibrant visual energy to explore the contradictions of modern life, from consumerism to the commodification of endangered animals.
Known for playful, thought-provoking works like his iconic Vegan Spam collection, he combines pop culture symbols with intricate stencilling and spray paint to create immersive, unsettling, and visually striking pieces. Influenced by Bristol’s street art scene, Banksy, and Warhol, Agnew’s latest exhibition transforms everyday symbols into reflections on value, excess, and survival.
