Novel Nights is a monthly literary event with guest speakers and readings by local talent. We provide literary chat, stories, discussion and inspiration for writers and readers.

This month, Novel Nights welcomes thriller writer, Sanjida Kay, speaking on how to create the perfect plot for your novel. She’ll talk about twists, turns and reversals in your writing, and discuss whether you should plot in advance or find your plot, as well as how to plot.

Sanjida Kay is a psychological thriller writer published by Corvus Books. Her first thriller, Bone by Bone, was long listed for the Steel Dagger Award and named one of the best books of the year by The Guardian and The Sunday Express. The Stolen Child, her second, has been optioned for television by the company that produced Homeland. Her third, My Mother’s Secret, is out 3 May, and is set in Bristol and the Lake District. She lives in Bristol.
